Drawing on his experience as an R&D engineer and as a registered French patent attorney, Laurent litigates on highly technical patent matters.
Laurent is Counsel in our Intellectual Property Group, based in Paris.
His thorough knowledge of European patent law and profound understanding of highly technical matters have equipped him to advise on complex patent litigations, notably in computer science, electronics and telecommunications fields.
He holds a Master’s degree in electronic engineering from ESIEE (Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Electronique et Electrotechnique) and a Diploma in patent law from the CEIPI (Center for International Intellectual Property Studies).
Before joining us in 2013, Laurent worked as a registered French and European patent attorney for a French IP firm, where he was involved in patent prosecutions with various patent offices. He also provided advice on European Patent law to a major New Zealand law firm during a short-term mission.
Prior to that, Laurent acquired valuable experience working on complex R&D engineering projects for a large defense electronics company for 5 years.
He lectures on patent law in an international program at Paris-Sud University and is a member of multiple professional associations including LES France and APEB.
