Kacper Podplomyk

I am an associate in the Commercial team in Warsaw.

I have been advising clients since 2014, and have extensive experience in advising entrepreneurs. I assist clients in negotiating and drafting contracts and product documentation (including terms and conditions) across a range of industries, including banking and insurance. I have prepared documentation for retail banking products and consumer loans. I also review new business lines for compliance with legal requirements, including meeting consumer disclosure obligations.

I support clients on personal data issues with respect to compliance with RODO regulations. I have also conducted full-scope implementations of employee equity plans, both in terms of requirements under the Employee Equity Plans Act and meeting corporate and corporate governance requirements.

I have experience in licensing and notification proceedings before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (banking, insurance, payment services). I also took an active part in preparing the documentation for the application for a permit to operate as a benchmark administrator, which resulted in the Polish Financial Supervision Authority issuing the first license in Poland to carry out activities as a benchmark administrator.

I provide ongoing corporate advice, which includes, i.a., drafting applications to registry courts, preparing resolutions of statutory bodies, and providing opinions and revisions to the internal rules of companies. In addition, I prepare due diligence reports.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I gained experience in leading Polish and international law firms, in financial institutions of the insurance and pension funds market, and in the Office of the Financial Supervision Authority.
