I am a Legal Director in our International Banking and Finance Group, based in London. I advise banks and other lenders, private equity investors and corporate borrowers on a range of banking and finance practice areas in the UK and cross border.

I have expertise in the technology, energy & infrastructure, funds & insurance and corporate banking sectors, and I advise on venture debt, project finance, acquisition finance, private equity funding and general corporate and LMA lending.

After originally joining Bird & Bird in 2005, I went on to work at another leading international law firm, and then for six years as senior counsel at the London branch of a global bank, ultimately leading the team advising on all lending documentation across the branch. This has given me a deep understanding of the risk appetite and policies driving lending decisions, as well as the challenges facing financial institutions.

At the bank, I advised internal clients on complex transactions, including situations where the bank was acting as mandated lead arranger for renewables project financing and infrastructure acquisition transactions. I also have experience of lending in Whole Business Securitisation structures, letter of credit facilities and fund level capital call facilities.

I re-joined the team here in 2016.
