I am an intellectual property partner at Bird & Bird in Shanghai. Together with our association law firm Lawjay, we have represented numerous companies in achieving excellent results of IP protection in China.

We have experience in copyright, unfair competition, trade mark, design, as well as patents. We also guide companies through tech deals and transactions. Most of our team members have science backgrounds - I myself have an engineering degree.

I have 15 years plus experience in China and handled a number of difficult, high value disputes on behalf of companies. We are a group that loves IP. We are good at invalidating competitors' IP portfolios for our clients, as well as enforcing IP rights against infringers or hijackers. Many of our cases achieve results which exceed client expectations and certainly above the average odds, include landmark damages or preliminary injunction.

In addition to IP litigation, I am also an expert on the competition law issue of FRAND, resulting from the undertakings given by patent owners to various standard setting organisations as part of their IP policies, and I advise our international clients on their development around the world. I also have substantial experience with regulatory issues relating to inventor remuneration policy and technology transfer in China.
