Alberto likes understanding the relationship between his patent prosecution/litigation work and his clients' businesses, whether they are small, medium or large enterprises.
Alberto is counsel in our Intellectual Property practice, based in Milan.
Alberto has broad experience in Italian and European intellectual property law, especially patent law. He represents clients in the electrical and mechanical fields, and also deals with software protection.
He has particular experience in drafting and prosecuting patent and utility model applications before patent offices (in Italy, Germany, Europe, USA, China, Japan, etc.). Over the last fifteen years, Alberto has assisted several Italian and foreign clients in patent and design litigation regarding IPR infringement and validity, including criminal proceedings as well as border seizure proceedings. He is sometimes appointed as a technical expert by Judges of Italian Courts in the course of lawsuits.
Alberto was admitted as an Italian Patent and Trademark Attorney in 1994 and as a European Patent Attorney in 1996. In 2016, he qualified according to the Unified Patent Court Agreement. He studied electronic engineering at the "Politecnico di Milano" and obtained his degree in 1988.
Alberto has been in private practice as a patent attorney for about fifteen years, having previously spent around ten years in the patent departments of Alcatel and STMicroelectronics. He joined us in 2017 to assist clients in both contentious and non-contentious patent and design-related matters.
