Bird & Bird appoints William Langran as Counsel in Swedish Dispute Resolution team

International law firm Bird & Bird has appointed William Langran as Counsel in the Swedish Dispute Resolution team.

William joins as an experienced arbitrator and specialises in international arbitration (commercial and investment), multi-jurisdictional litigation, and US regulatory matters for corporates and financial institutions. He frequently appears as lead counsel in international arbitrations administered under the rules of the major arbitral institutions.

William will be based in Stockholm but provide clients with a pan-Nordic offering, working closely with our international offices in the arbitration centres of London, Paris, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Joining from Swedish firm Advokatfirman Lindahl, William previously worked at Clifford Chance in New York, Paris and Hong Kong for six years. A fluent Mandarin speaker, his practice has a particular regional focus on US and China related matters, which he will continue to develop in his role at Bird & Bird.

William is a US trained lawyer and is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York. He is also listed as an arbitrator with CIETAC, China's main arbitral body, and as a Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong.
