Responsible body/bodies (art. 7 (1) GBR)
 MS must designate one or more bodies for its adequate and effective enforcement. This can include courts or administrative authorities (recital 35 GBR).

Likely to be the Slovak Commercial Inspection as the body (in addition to civil courts) which oversees consumer protection in general and the Slovak National Bank as the authority which oversees the compliance with national and European legislation regarding financial services.

Enforcement measures (art. 7 (2) GBR)
 MS must lay down rules setting out the measures applicable to infringements. These measures must be effective, proportionate and dissuasive.

Specific GBR enforcement measures are still unknown. Currently, violations of Slovak or EU consumer protection regulation can be fined up to €66.400 (or up to €166.000 for repeated violation) and €300.000 for violation of financial services legislation (or up to €600.000 for repeated violation).

Likely to be the same for violations of the GBR.

Practical assistance (art. 8 GBR)
 MS must designate one or more bodies responsible for providing practical assistance to consumers in the case of a dispute between a consumer and a trader arising from the application of the GBR
