Bird & Bird represented Juuri Partners in its investment, which will accelerate Subway's® growth in Finland and Sweden
Bird & Bird represented a Finnish private equity firm Juuri Partners in its investment to DAF Group, a Nordic company in charge of managing and developing the business of Subway-restaurants in Finland and Sweden. Through the investment, Juuri Partners becomes a significant minority shareholder in DAF Group accelerating Subway’s growth in Finland and Sweden. Currently, Finland and Sweden in total have nearly 340 Subway-restaurants with over 3000 employees.
The cross-border team at Bird & Bird was led by partner Jori Taipale and Counsel Iina-Mari Supperi, supported by Joel Rautiainen, Ville Alahuhta, Floora Kukorelli, Lotta Kumpuniemi, Vilma Laukkanen, Sofia Paksuniemi and Juuso Pyy in Finland, by Barbara Barun, Johanna Larsson, Elin Sundblad and Jonathan Wikström in Sweden, and by London based partner and leading international Franchise expert Graeme Payne.
