Joel Rautiainen

I am an associate in our Corporate group in Helsinki, where I advise domestic and international clients on matters relating to M&A and general corporate law. In addition, I advise fund managers and investors on legal questions regarding private equity funds.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I have worked as an in-house legal counsel for a Nasdaq Helsinki listed investment management firm where my main responsibilities were in fund structuring, fund formation and fund investments of AIF and UCITS-funds. Prior my graduation, I have also worked in another major business law firm in assignments related to M&A, capital markets transactions and investment funds.

I hold a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Aalto University School of Business.

I am known for a pragmatic approach and strong commitment for given projects. Most of all, in my work I strive for focusing in the essential and achieving the goals of the client.
