Niilo-Pekka Salminen

I am an associate in our Commercial and Privacy & Data Protection groups in Helsinki, where I work with our local and international clients advising them on commercial contracts, data protection, IT law and questions related to data and telecommunications regulation.

I joined our firm initially as an associate trainee in 2021 and continued as an associate lawyer in 2022, after graduating from the University of Turku as a Master of Laws. I have experience both from the private and public sectors, and I have previously worked at another major business law firm and at the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

I assist our clients in various assignments relating to commercial contracts, data protection, IT law, data and telecommunications regulation and consumer protection law. I have advised in many M&A projects with a particular focus on commercial contracts, data protection and IT law questions. I am also a part of Bird & Bird's international Technology and Communications and Life Sciences and Healthcare sector groups. I always strive to understand clients' business needs, and I enjoy giving legal advice that enable growth.

I have studied Law at the University of Lisbon and I work fluently in Finnish and English.
