Edward Noakes

I am based in Casablanca and I am a member of the Corporate Commercial Group dedicated to the MENA region and sub-Saharan Africa. I advise Moroccan and international companies on development operations, as well as on their day-to-day corporate operations.

My primary focus is on negotiating, concluding and completing M&A transactions (including disposals, acquisitions, joint ventures, majority or minority stakes and reorganisations) as well as energy and infrastructure projects (such as renewable energy, oil and gas, PPAs, PPPs, etc.).

I provide assistance across a diverse range of sectors, including banking, insurance, industry, infrastructure, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and retail.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I gained valuable experience at several leading international law firms in Paris and Casablanca. I am proficient in advising on both French and Moroccan law.

Having read Law at King's College London and at Panthéon-Sorbonne, I regularly collaborate with our London and Paris offices.

I am fluent in English and French, as a Franco-British native.
