International law firm Bird & Bird appoints Henri Kaikkonen as a partner and head of the Intellectual Property practice in Helsinki.
Henri is an experienced and well-known Finnish IP lawyer with a particular focus on contentious IP matters and brand protection work. With over 10 years of experience, Henri has worked with some of the most prestigious Finnish and international brands advising clients on disputes regarding trademark, patent and copyright infringement, trade secrets, domains, counterfeits, ownership of IP, marketing, consumer protection, unfair business practices, licensing, and IT projects. Henri also specialises in brand protection, opposition proceedings, co-existence agreements, clearance searches, and other work concerning planning and enforcement of intellectual property rights strategies.
Henri also has experience advising on numerous M&A related IP licensing or acquisition arrangements, negotiating several technology transfer agreements, and consulting in multi-party R&D projects aimed to create novel intellectual capital. Outside IP law, Henri has also provided counsel to various tech-related businesses in their contractual matters.
