The European Data Act aims to boost the digitally-driven economy in the EU by unlocking access to industrial data for both businesses and consumers, as well as enabling customers to switch easily between cloud services.

With the Regulation in force since 11 January 2024 and set to apply from 12 September 2025, it is important to understand what impact the new law will have on your business and what market opportunities it might bring.

Importantly, the Data Act may be of relevance not only for companies based in the EU but also to entities operating outside the EU that offer services or conduct activities within the EU.
