I am a partner and head of our international Public Procurement group in Denmark. Besides being one of Denmark's leading public procurement law specialists, I am co-head of our Copenhagen office and our international Public Procurement group.
In my role as head of the Public Procurement group in Denmark, I manage the department and team structure so we can ensure we have the right lawyers in place for our clients' needs. I am convinced that the right team with the right people is the best way to achieve success and attain sustainable solutions for our clients. Being co-head of the international Public Procurement group ensures me an international network of skilled procurement lawyers from different jurisdictions.
Efficient public procurement is key to facilitating government investments in infrastructure, health, education and other public services, making it central to government efforts to improve living-standards. Every day, I am motivated by contributing to improve these government investments by, for example, setting up the right team of public procurement specialists and being the trusted adviser.
Project management is crucial to our client service and over the years I have been involved in, and coordinated, a number of multi-jurisdictional and complex procurements both for governments and companies. For over a decade, I have advised on public procurement rules, public sector agreements and related areas of law in healthcare, construction and IT. I also help public contracting entities and companies in the utilities sector and advise on the preparation of tenders.
Over the years, I have built up considerable experience of working with politically controlled organisations. This includes working with public clients as project leader in connection with public procedures of complex IT acquisitions, project procedures regarding construction work, and framework agreements for procurement associations. Besides being a traditional adviser, I am a certified as professional SCRUM master. On several occasions, this includes advising on the use of agile IT contracts.
As part of my role, I am committed to simplifying public procurement and the use of public procurement rules by focusing on the commercial advantages in a public procedure. I provide advice on procurement strategy, the implementation of market dialogue before a public tender, drafting competition documents (including the contract and contract conditions), legal quality assurance of the requirement specification, negotiations, and external and internal contract management.
I have long-standing experience from a wide range of cases conducted in the Complaints Board for Public Procurement. I frequently speak at seminars, hold training regarding public procurement and have co-authored a number of publications, including books on procurement law.
I am also co-founder of the Danish Association for the Procurement Law, and chairman of the board, because of my passion for procurement law.
