Before joining Bird & Bird in June 2011, Péter worked for a Hungarian law firm, following experience with bnt Szabó Tom Burmeister Law Firm and abroad with Rödl & Partner in Nürnberg. He is a member of the Budapest Bar and speaks Hungarian, English and German.
Péter’s practice focuses on competition law and general commercial matters. He has advised market-leading companies and a financial institution on antitrust issues before the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH). In addition, Péter also provided advice on contentious, public procurement, corporate and general European law matters and has a particular interest in sports law.
Péter graduated from the University of Pécs. In 2008/2009, he participated in the LL.M. programme at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, where he studied German law and sports law. At the same time, as a research fellow, Péter conducted research on sports sector-related matters.
Péter is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the ELTE University in Budapest, where he teaches the economic dimension and organisation of sports. He has also published several articles on the connections of sports and law.
