International law firm Bird & Bird has been advising the Park Plaza Hotel Group on their listing on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. The listing raised £84 million for the company.
As well as owning hotels in the UK and Germany, The Park Plaza Hotel Group also owns 4 hotels in The Netherlands. A team of Dutch based lawyers at Bird & Bird advised Park Plaza Hotel Group on all Dutch law aspects of this listing including due diligence of all four hotels. In addition Bird & Bird helped set up the IPO structure and the reorganization connected with this. Commenting on Bird & Bird’s involvement in the deal, partner Steven van der Waal said:
“Bird & Bird has developed a track record of advising companies on IPOs in both regulated and unregulated markets having also advised the first Dutch, Italian and Swedish companies on their listing on London Stock Exchange's international market, AIM”.
More recently, Bird & Bird’s Dutch corporate team advised Plaza Centers N.V on their IPO on the London Stock Exchange Official List– a listing which raised £514 million for the group.
