Wingon Chui

I am a partner in our Corporate practice in Hong Kong, with over 27 years' legal experience and a highly commercial approach. Today, I specialise in corporate finance, securities, M&A, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, private equity and PRC-related transactions.

Over the years, I have handled the IPOs of PRC enterprises and non-PRC companies on the Main Board and Growth Enterprise market of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, as well as advising on pre-IPO private equity investments and post-IPO notifiable transactions, corporate reorganisations, compliance, takeovers, share placements, rights issues and related transactions.

In addition, I am highly experienced in handling large scale, cross-border and multinational direct investments in PRC, and have advised a number of overseas investors on setting up PRC joint ventures and acquiring existing PRC enterprises in various industries.

I was made a China-Appointed Attesting Officer by the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China in 2009. I have also been a member of the Professional Services Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council 2013-2017 and am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. I have been appointed as a council member of the Hong Kong Baptist University since January 2019.

I am fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
