Thomas Sutcliffe

I am an associate in our Corporate group in Sydney. I have experience in both domestic and cross-border transactions, focusing particularly on M&A in the technology, media, sports and entertainment sectors.

I specialise in conducting merger and acquisition transactions, the establishment of joint ventures, the acquisition of venture capital and conducting other capital raising, as well as advising on capital markets regulation and public fundraising. Many of our clients are market leaders in 'new' economy sectors such as media, entertainment and technology (including fintech).

Bird & Bird in Australia is home to a highly regarded sports and e-sports advisory team, and I frequently provide corporate advice to clients of that practice.

My practice also involves general corporate law advice, including corporate structuring, capital reorganisations and advice in relation to establishing and conducting businesses in Australia.
