Serena Trang

I am an associate in our Corporate Group in Sydney with a focus primarily on providing advice to domestic and international clients in the energy & utilities and technology sectors.

I have experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of key documents for the establishment, development, financing, construction and operation of utility-scale renewable energy projects such as engineering, procurement and construction contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, grid connection agreements, power purchase agreements and supply agreements.

I also have experience assisting on a broad range of corporate, commercial and financing matters including cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, the establishment and restructuring of companies, partnerships and joint ventures, corporate governance as well as drafting, reviewing and negotiating services agreements and software agreements.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I worked as legal counsel at a global ASX 50 software company headquartered in Sydney. This experience in-house has allowed me to truly understand and appreciate the commercial and solutions-focused lens that clients require and expect from their legal advisers.
