Sara Boualem

I am an associate in the Regulatory, Public & Administrative Law department in our Brussels office. I advise clients on regulatory matters with a particular focus on food and beverages.

My assistance covers a various range of areas, from day-to-day advice about general food law, labelling and advertising to food crisis management, market practices and assistance with launching highly regulated food products. I also have a particular interest in contractual law in the food supply chain.

Working in such a dynamic environment with new regulations, market practices and sector demands allows for my interest in complex legal matters to shine and diversify.

After graduating from the Université libre de Bruxelles in 2020, I completed an additional year of study at the Université catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve to obtain a specialised Master in European Law. I was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2021. Prior to joining Bird & Bird in 2021, I worked as a legal intern in a multinational Food &Beverage company.
