Merav Griguer

I am a partner in our Paris-based International Privacy & Data Protection Group, and co-head of our French privacy & data protection team.

With over 15 years' experience in Communications and IT law, I focus on many different facets of data privacy in financial services, life sciences, healthcare, aviation, media, sport and tech & communications. My ever-growing practice encompasses GDPR, litigation before the CNIL here in France, data dispute and legal issues in 'Big Data', social media and cybersecurity. In addition, my close links with the French regulatory authority and legislative bodies mean I am often asked to provide my professional expertise on upcoming bills and amendments.

In addition to being a professor of Privacy, Personal Data and Cybersecurity at Paris II Panthéon University, I am the scientific director of the Data Protection Officer certificate of Sciences Po Paris. My GDPR seminar 'DPO training' is certified 'Label CNIL' by the French Data Protection Authority.

I am the author of numerous articles and publications and I speak regularly at international conferences including Microsoft Techdays, Echos, the International Hub Forum, MEDEF, CCI, Cyberweek, and IAPP on matters such as GDPR, social media and IT issues. I speak fluent French, English and Hebrew.

• Driving compliance of international IT projects (i.e. connected glasses, whistleblowing procedures...)
• Advising top management and directors of big companies to comply and to mitigate risks relating to data protection
• Assisting clients in data breaches and in case of Data protection authority investigation
• Defending clients in their litigation relating to data protection (including discovery procedure), cybersecurity and e-reputation.
