Lukas Mitterlechner

I am an associate in our Commercial and Data Protection Groups, specialising in providing commercial and practical advice to clients in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.

I have a passion for the technology, media and communications space, working with all types of clients from start ups, to small to medium businesses and large national and international corporations.

My commercial transactions experience includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating service agreements, terms & conditions, software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements, end user licence agreements, distribution agreements, and joint venture agreements. I have also advised and acted for clients on commercial and consumer disputes.

On the data privacy side, my experience includes re-working data management practices, drafting data sharing arrangements, undertaking privacy due diligence for transactional matters, providing regulatory advice, preparing GDPR compliant data transfer impact assessments and preparing privacy impact assessments.

Since starting at Bird & Bird in 2019, I have also gained experience in our Intellectual Property, Employment, Real Estate, Competition and Commercial practice groups, allowing me to give provide well-rounded and considered advice.

Before joining Bird & Bird, I worked at one of Australia's largest defendant insurance law firms as well as a boutique aviation consultancy.
