As an associate in our Dispute Resolution and Regulatory practice in The Hague, I specialise in commercial civil litigation and contentious regulatory matters in the Tech & Comms and Media sectors.

I work with a variety of clients, representing and advising them in litigious civil matters as well as on contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters. I have a particular focus on the interface between civil and regulatory law and therefore I can provide an integral outlook on the matter at hand. This focus is particularly useful in advising and representing clients in matters concerning unlawful government actions and subsequent actions for damages.

The Tech & Comms and Media sectors interest me in particular, because they are constantly in motion and therefore require an innovative approach.

What motivates me is to help my clients to achieve the best possible outcome in a difficult situation. To achieve this, I believe that, besides legal knowledge, people skills and industry knowledge are essential.

• Advising and representing leading multinationals in matters concerning unlawful government actions, with claims leading up to hundreds of millions of euros.
• Acting for clients in major coverage disputes in the Netherlands and London insurance market in relation to construction projects. These cases involve professional indemnity and machinery breakdown/business interruption claims.
• Acted in several Freedom of Information Act proceedings initiated against a client.
• Acted for a client in complex Freedom of Information Act proceedings initiated against the Minister of Interior Affairs as well as the Minister of Justice and Security. The proceedings regard information concerning a decision by the Dutch government.
