I am a partner and head in Bird & Bird's Real Estate department in the Madrid office.

I advise on matters including commercial and corporate real estate. I advise on acquisitions of any type of property, but office buildings and hotels are the highlights for me.

I advise on the implementation of Spanish property market transactions, including the acquisition of unique buildings, high-profile office buildings, shopping centres, real estate portfolios and a number of sale and lease-back operations. The hotel industry is a particular specialism and I have extensive experience working with high-profile clients on the purchase, sale, leasing or management of hotels.

I have over 30 years of experience advising national and international clients, private investors and family offices, funds and financial institutions, as well as developers and construction professionals, landowners and companies across different sectors.

In addition, I have in-depth expertise in the distribution sector, from having worked as in-house counsel for a Spanish food and drinks company.

I speak Spanish and English.

• My experience reaches more than €4,500 million in differents real estate transactions, for example the acquisition of eleven office buildings from a Spanish bank in a variety of locations (sale and lease-back), the acquisition of Picasso Tower, Madrid (offices), the acquisition of Foster Tower, Madrid, (offices), the acquisition of a unique building in Barcelona, Paseo de Gracia, to be refurbished into a luxury hotel, or the acquisition of a mix-use building in Madrid, Gran Via nº 35 which was leased to an international fashion brand as its flagship store.
