Dr. Simon Reuter

As a counsel and member of our IP Practice Group, I advise our national and international clients on all aspects of IP law as well as competition law. I specialise in patent infringement and invalidity proceedings.

In the aforementioned legal fields, I advise our clients in all contentious and non-contentious matters. I have broad experience in international patent disputes and advise mainly in the fields of telecommunications, network technology, electronics, life sciences and engineering. In this context, my special focus is on the assertion of standard essential patents and the related FRAND objection.

I studied law with a focus on intellectual property law and completed my PhD thesis on a liability topic in intellectual property and competition law at the University of Würzburg (Germany). During my legal clerkship, I worked for a well-known law firm in Stuttgart and Munich in the fields of intellectual property, competition and antitrust law.

Before joining our firm, I also gained valuable experience in advising IT, media, competition and copyright matters at another international law firm in Munich.
