Ana María Sánchez-Valdepeñas

I am an associate in Bird & Bird's Regulatory & Administrative department in the Madrid office.

My work experience includes providing legal advice to individuals, national and international companies and public entities in many areas of Administrative Law, such as public procurement, administrative concessions, sectorial licences and authorisations, regulated sectors (such as energy, infrastructure, consumption or transport), Competition Law, the asset liability of the Public Administration and subsidies and grants.

I also have vast experience advising on all types of contentious-administrative procedures, which gives me wide knowledge of diverse matters related to Administrative Law, and the skills to look for innovative solutions to traditional conflicts, and to direct and supervise large administrative projects.

I also specialise in Digital and Business Law.

Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I worked in the Regulatory, Public Law, Urban Planning and Competition Department of a well-known global law firm.

• Assistance and representation in mass proceedings for the violation of Community law of a well-known Spanish tax in the field of electricity production.
• Assistance in mass compensation claim procedures in the regulated transport sector.
• Assistance to one of the largest European infrastructure and public services groups in the resolution of a major works contract in Port sector.
