I am a senior associate in our Corporate and Commercial Group, specialising in providing commercial and practical advice to clients in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.
I was recognised as one of 'Australia's Best Lawyers Under 35' as a winner of Australasian Lawyer's 'Rising Stars 2023', and as a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly '30 Under 30 Awards 2023' in the 'Technology' category.
I advise on risk and regulatory compliance for innovative, national and international business ventures, ranging in size from small tech start-ups to the largest multi-national entities. I particularly focus on advising on issues at the cutting edge of technological innovation, including on generative AI and blockchain capabilities. I enjoy working with my clients in order to create practical legal solutions to business problems, while teaching them how to navigate the legal landscape.
I have extensive experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating service agreements, terms & conditions, software-as-a-service agreements, end user licence agreements, distribution agreements, and joint venture agreements; and advising on contract risk, intellectual property rights, and privacy & data protection rights and obligations.
As a result of my position as director, deputy chair, and company secretary of River's Gift (a charity dedicated to combatting sudden infant death syndrome) I also have experience advising on corporate strategy, and corporate governance obligations and best practice, including governing document and policy drafting and review.
Additionally, I have broad experience advising on mergers & acquisitions, restructuring and federal & state taxation laws, which enables me to provide well-rounded advice.
