Zoltán’s strength lies in his expertise in employment matters and technology related sectors
Zoltán is a Senior Associate and head of our Hungarian Employment team, based in Budapest.
He has extensive experience in employment and litigation matters, having advised multinational clients on complex restructuring and collective redundancy projects. Zoltán regularly supports clients with termination of employment, localisation of employment contracts and employee transfers. He represents employers in lawsuits concerning overtime allowances and unlawful termination claims.
Zoltán is also an expert in information technology, outsourcing, data protection, telecommunications, e-commerce and intellectual property matters. He has advised a major outsourcing service provider on various aspects of information technology and business process outsourcing transactions. He has considerable expertise in data protection, including conducting comprehensive data protection audits, advising on data protection issues in relation to direct marketing activity, and implementing cloud computing solutions. Zoltán also advises on software and database licensing, as well as know-how and trade secrets protection.
He joined us in 2013, having worked for nearly nine years with a leading Hungarian law firm as an attorney-at-law, and with one of its successor law firms as a partner.
Zoltán has co-authored articles on outsourcing and data protection for PLC Cross-border Handbook and PLC Multi-jurisdictional Guide. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Pázmány Péter Catholic University in 2002, received a postgraduate diploma in EU law from Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and has an LLM in Computer and Communications Law from Queen Mary, University of London. He is a member of the Budapest Bar.
