I am a Counsel in Bird & Bird's Dispute Resolution practice in Singapore. I specialise in high-stakes cross-border litigation and arbitration, acting for clients in sectors such as technology & communications, life sciences & healthcare, aviation, media, entertainment & sport and retail & consumer.

I am fortunate to be a member of a truly international dispute resolution team, having acted in disputes involving a wide range of jurisdictions including Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and the US. I have also acted for our clients at all levels of the Singapore Courts as well as in arbitrations administered by the SIAC, ICC, KLRCA, LCIA and UNCITRAL Rules.

I believe that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to resolving disputes. Therefore, I am a firm believer in alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration, mediation, neutral evaluations and negotiations. I am always keen to work with clients to explore commercially sensible options to resolve disputes, and frequently represent clients in mediations and negotiations.

This is not to say that we shy away from fighting our clients' battles. Our team is no stranger to backing up our clients in complex and lengthy court and arbitration proceedings, both in Singapore and abroad.

In 2016, I was appointed by the Supreme Court of Singapore to the Young Amicus Curiae programme to assist the Court in cases involving novel points of law or important issues of public policy. I also serve as an advocacy tutor for the Preparatory Course leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations, and am a member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.
