As an associate in our Intellectual Property Group in London, I have experience acting on various IP issues across a broad range of sectors including life sciences, technology and communications, retail and consumer and media, entertainment and sport.

I have experience working on matters involving all intellectual property rights however my focus is on contentious matters concerning trade marks and patents.

I have a law degree which has given me a particular interest in litigation. Both during my training contract and after qualifying I have had experience working on numerous pieces of litigation. This has included litigation in both the High Court and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court.

In particular, my litigation experience has involved acting in the High Court on both patent infringement and trade mark infringement proceedings. The majority of the pieces of litigation I have worked on have had an international element. I am therefore used to working with clients and colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.

In addition to formal litigation, I have significant experience in domain name proceedings, particularly UDRP and Nominet domain name complaints. This work involves helping clients identify potential domain name threats and handling domain name complaint proceedings from start to finish.

Outside of litigation, I regularly advise on patent freedom to operate searches. Working on these searches involves not only reviewing the technical aspects of patents but also liaising with clients over any changes required to their products to minimise infringement risk.
