As an associate in our Commercial and Data Protection team in Düsseldorf and a member of our Technology and Communications sector group, I advise our clients on all aspects of data protection and IT law.
My particular focus is providing advice on all matters concerning software licensing, especially with regard to open-source software. In particular, I advise our clients on compliance with open-source licenses and compatibility issues. During a six-month secondment, I also had the opportunity to advise a large client in the crypto industry on legal issues relating to its open-source practice.Furthermore, my work focuses on national and international privacy issues related to the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
I also assist our clients in drafting and negotiating complex IT contracts and in handling e-commerce and consumer law issues.
Before studying law, I completed a dual bachelor's degree in 'Municipal Administrative Service ' (LL.B.). During my law studies, I continued to work for a municipal administration for several years.

- Legal clerkship with stations for the German government in Bonn and Tanzania.
