Teresa empathises with each client, and tailors her service to every individual's needs.
Teresa is a senior associate in our IP group, based in Madrid.
She is an expert in litigation, negotiation and extrajudicial solutions, as well as in contracts and provision of legal advice regarding IP, pharmaceutical and veterinary regulatory, advertising of medicines and technology transfer.
As a litigator, Teresa has experience both at administrative and commercial courts. She has dealt with litigation related to patents, unfair competition, copyright, designs, trade marks and pharmaceutical regulation.
She also deals with contractual issues regarding technology transfer, patent and know-how licensing, collaboration and consortium agreements, agreements for the manufacturing and supply of medicinal products and marketing authorisations licences, as well as IP contracts in the framework of the creation of joint ventures.
She has also been involved in anti-counterfeiting issues and providing IP legal advice in the framework of due diligences.
Since April 2012, she has occasionally worked in the legal team of the Spanish subsidiary of a US pharmaceutical company on secondment as an in-house lawyer. During these secondments, she is involved in the full range of activities, including contractual, commercial and regulatory issues as well as measures to comply with the US anticorruption regulations and other compliance issues.
She has lectured on IP matters and has also written some articles and books chapters on IP and Life Sciences.
Teresa first joined our IP group in 2006 as a trainee. She spent several months working at an international patent agency in 2015, but returned to the firm in November 2015.
She holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration obtained from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Extraordinary Prize) and an LLM in Intellectual Property (EOI/Fundación Pons).
