She is a registered Singapore patent agent and has considerable experience in patent prosecution (including pre- and post-filing stages), both in Singapore and overseas. She is also experienced in other aspects of patent related work, some of which include freedom-to-operate search and analysis, preparation of third party observations, preparation of infringement and validity opinions and advising on matters involving patent declarations related to therapeutic product licenses in Singapore. Hui Leng is also actively involved in patent revocation and patent infringement matters.
Prior to joining us, Hui Leng practised in a leading law firm and worked with a broad range of clients, both in Singapore and overseas.
Hui Leng graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in computer programming and applications. Hui Leng has also been certified by Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI) under the South East Asian Drafting (SEAD) Course. She has also obtained the Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law and has a Masters of Science in Intellectual Property Management from the National University of Singapore.
She has also been listed in Who's Who Legal: Patents 2016, 2017 and 2018, and is a member of the Examination Committee which sets and marks the qualifying papers for the Singapore Patent Agent Qualifying Examination. She is also a member of the Association of Singapore Patent Agents.
