My expertise includes acting on acquisitions and disposals of commercial, residential, industrial and rural assets as well as retail, commercial and industrial leasing (for landlord and tenant clients). I also undertake due diligence, draft and negotiate bespoke agreements, and project manage complex multi-party transactions. I regularly advise on FIRB (foreign investment review board) requirements relating to acquisitions by foreign investors in Australian real estate. Recently, I have been working on matters across the technology & communications sector and in particular representing a leading multinational technology company on the disposal of a $175 million dollar asset. I have an interest in the technology & communications space and in particular assisting clients being challenged by the role of technology and innovation in the future. As an experienced associate, my practice spans across a variety of clients including national and multi-national companies (including major fast food chains and supermarkets), property developers, government entities, listed property funds and overseas developers. In my previous experience, I spent four months working in house at a leading property investment management company, working in close collaboration with their in house legal team and commercial instructors. This experience provided me with commercial insight and exposure to a business' commercial drivers and the factors that influence a business' risk profile. As a result, I strive to deliver legal services with a strong commercial focus that aims at assisting clients to achieve their commercial objectives whilst maintaining the best possible outcome for a transaction.
