About Me

I am a paralegal in Bird & Bird's Intellectual Property department in the Madrid office.

I handle all stages of the process involved in the prosecution of a wide variety of IP registrations, such as patents, trademarks and designs.
A core component of my role is working with our IP teams in our Spanish office and across our European and international network. I help my colleagues and their clients to navigate complex IP requirements in their local market. Often this involves checking highly technical IP regulations and translating them into user-friendly versions that the clients can use to help them identify specific opportunities. I enjoy working directly with clients and getting to know their specific needs and finding the best way to offer them the most accurate solution to the challenges we frequently find in the IP prosecution.

Before joining Bird & Bird in 2018, I led the European validations team at one of the main Spanish IP firms. I began working in IP in a small boutique firm where I had the chance to learn the basics of a paralegal's role while executing a wide range of tasks from translating communications for clients to filing different types of applications.

Alongside my legal work I have participated as a teacher in a Masters programme at ISDE Law & Business School. I have also joined as a volunteer in the program 'Conoce tus leyes' (Getting to know your laws) directed to the immigrant population in search of employment.
