I joined Bird & Bird's Data Protection and Privacy Practice in May 2019 from a Big 4 professional services firm, where I completed my training contract. I have a background in financial services regulation, working mostly with retail banking conduct related matters.

I advise clients on a range of data protection topics, including data transfers, data subject rights, transparency obligations and, of course, GDPR compliance.

Having worked at and trained in a multi-disciplinary professional services firm, I'm not your ordinary lawyer. I seek diverse opinions and experiences to help my clients solve problems. I'm a strong believer in breaking the silo in which legal teams can often operate, and in helping legal functions to find their place as a business enabler. My background in advising clients on financial services regulation, and a three year stint at the Financial Ombudsman Service mediating disputes on disputes between banks and their customers, has given me the ability to see issues from a business and a consumer perspective. I bring my whole experience to my work.
