As a Counsel in our Intellectual Property Practice Group, I advise our German and international clients on trade mark, design, unfair competition and copyright law from our Munich office.

Drawing on my years of experience, I advise German corporations and multinationals from a wide range of different sectors such as the automotive, telecommunications, media and sports industry on all matters of intellectual property law and represent them before various German courts as well as before the EUIPO and the German Federal Patent Court. In addition I regularly assist clients in drafting and negotiating contracts and with their marketing campaigns.

Outside my practice I am author of many legal publications and regularly speak on various IP topics.

I am a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR), the Design and Copyright Committees of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) and the Institute for Copyright and Media Law Munich (IUM).

  • Secondment in the legal department of AUDI AG, where I was responsible for all kinds of IP-related issues like trade marks, designs and copyrights and advised on consumer information on fuel economy and CO2 emissions in respect of the marketing of new passenger cars (2011).
Education
  • Studies of law at the University of Passau and King's College London (Diploma in Legal Studies) with a focus on all aspects of intellectual property law.
  • Master's programme 'European and International Trade Law' at the Ludwig Maximilian University (Munich) with a master of laws (LL.M. Eur).
  • Master's thesis on 'Protection of product shapes in the automotive industry with a particular focus on trade mark law'.
