Rob has experience advising on a range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters.
Rob is an Associate in our Intellectual Property Department based in London.
He has experience advising on all aspects of brand protection and portfolio management and has assisted clients with their global clearance and protection strategies using national, regional and international trade mark and design systems. He has advised high-profile clients across a wide range of sectors including retail, consumer, food and beverages, and media and entertainment.
Rob also advises on global re-branding, filing and trade mark oppositions and cancellation proceedings before the UK and EU Intellectual Property Offices. He also provides advice in relation to other soft IP matters, including domain names and company name disputes.
He is interested in the commercial aspects of IP and has experience in negotiating and drafting a range of commercial agreements, including co-existence agreements and domain name transfer agreements.
Rob regularly contributes to legal journals on both trade mark and design law and is the editor of our international brands publication.
Before joining us in 2015, Rob played professional rugby for Northampton Saints RFC and represented England at schoolboy level. He also obtained a first class honours degree in English from the University of Nottingham.
