I am a creative and enthusiastic lawyer passionate about working across the media, entertainment, sport and technology industries.

Since qualifying as an associate in the International Commercial Group, based in London, I've advised clients across a broad range of commercial, regulatory and transactional matters.

I have experience advising a wide range of clients, from established global media businesses and global telecoms companies to fledgling media businesses. A particular area of expertise is within the music sector, in which I have drawn on my wider legal experience and my background in the sector to advise recording artists, record labels, start-ups and other key stakeholders. Previous experience also includes matters across the broadcasting, publishing and eSports industries.

Prior to training and qualifying with Bird & Bird in September 2018, I developed an understanding of the media and entertainment industries by working as a music journalist and editing a number of music publications. The digital aspects of these publications have given me an insight into the technology issues often at stake during the negotiations of technology contracts. Most recently, I have become an Editor of MediaWrites.law, our legal and industry news hub for the media, entertainment and sport industries. This role has heightened my awareness of the key issues and concerns driving change in those industries.

I have also built on my industry experience and developed commercial insight by working in-house at one of our clients. During this time, I acted on a number of key commercial technology projects with the common aim of improving the quality of copyright data throughout the music industry, and helped to lead a data protection project.
