Peyma is specialised in competition and regulatory law. He is a pragmatic lawyer who always looks for creative solutions in complex legal and technical matters.

Peyma is an associate in our Competition and Regulatory Practices and is based in The Hague.

Peyma specialises in competition and regulatory law and has experience in providing legal advice in merger control, cartel and abuse of dominance cases. He has specific expertise in sanctions and telecommunications law and has acted for clients in legal proceedings before various courts and administrative authorities. In addition he has advised in matters at the intersection of competition and intellectual property law, such as licensing and standardisation (‘FRAND’) issues. He is also a member of our Tech & Comms Group.

Peyma was admitted to the bar in 2012. He has previously worked as a paralegal and lawyer in the Competition and Regulatory practices of other top tier law firms in the Netherlands. Prior to joining us in 2017, Peyma worked as an independent ‘pro deo’ lawyer in the fields of Social security and Criminal law. During his time as an independent lawyer, Peyma gained substantial litigation experience by representing clients before courts in administrative and criminal proceedings.

Peyma is a very good public speaker, and has won (2014) the prestigious annual Moot Court Competition for young lawyers organised by among others the Amsterdam Bar Association. Peyma is a member of the Dutch Competition Law Association (VvM) and Dutch European Law Association (NVER).
