Peer specialises in intellectual property, advising both Danish and international businesses, particularly on copyright issues.
Peer is a partner in our Intellectual Property practice, based in Copenhagen where he is the head of our Danish Intellectual Property practice.
For more than 25 years, he has advised clients in the music and film industries on every aspect of copyright law, including the enforcement of intellectual property rights in infringement cases in music, TV series and computer games. He also helps clients defeat piracy and counterfeiting. Peer has longstanding expertise in licence, sponsorship and other intellectual property agreements; and he regularly advises a number of sports clients on the exploitation of sports rights, both domestically and internationally. In addition, he has in-depth knowledge of designs, and trademarks as well as protection of trade secrets.
Peer also advises on business transfers and restructurings with an intellectual property law angle, and he has represented Danish as well as international businesses in several significant transactions.
A skilled litigator, Peer litigates before the ordinary courts and both Danish and foreign arbitration tribunals. He has been admitted to the Danish Bar and has right of audience before the Danish High Courts and the Danish Supreme Court.
He is a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Danish Bar Association and a member of several professional Danish and foreign associations and federations.
Peer graduated from the University of Copenhagen in the top 10 of his Master of Law class.
He speaks Danish and English and has a good understanding of the Nordic languages.
