I'm a senior associate in our Intellectual Property and Technology & Communications Groups in the Czech Republic.

Within my specialism, I advise on contentious and non-contentious matters related to IT law such as software licensing, systems implementation, distribution, online commerce, cloud computing, open source, data protection and data security law. My expertise covers licence agreements for databases and end-users, contractual negotiations, software copyright, outsourcing agreements and cyber security issues. I also assist clients with technology-related M&A's and private equity transactions.

Other areas that fall within my expertise include IP copyright, trademarks, designs, patents, unfair competition, domain names, data protection and public procurement.

I'm a frequent presenter on IT related topics including cybersecurity issues and trends, IT licensing public procurement in IT and legal actions conducted via electronic means of communication.

Prior to my practice as a lawyer, I spent five years as an IT systems developer, working on IT systems development for regional and high courts in the Czech Republic.

I speak Czech and English.

  • Several times during my career I cooperated with clients on the basis of a 'secondment' or acted as a client's virtual general counsel. In these projects I was responsible for IT related or all of the legal agenda of these companies.
