My experience includes advising on employment, pension and incentive matters in connection with large-scale cross-border transactions, restructurings and reorganisations, including cross-border mergers. Considering the often very complex nature of the matters, I take a proactive approach in understanding the challenges my clients may be facing and aim to be clear and to the point in my advice, creating an open dialogue. I am also head of our Financial Services group and have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework governing remuneration in financial services, having assisted financial institutions and fund management companies in the implementation of group-wide remuneration policies and systems in line with European regulations, such as the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive, the Capital Requirements Directives and the UCITS V Directive. I also have in-house experience having been seconded to a major Nordic bank in 2010-2011 and again in 2014-2015 to assist in the implementation and amendment of its group-wide remuneration policies in line with the above mentioned regulations. Through this experience I gained an even better understanding of clients' expectations and the importance of a commercial mindset. I joined the team at Bird & Bird in 2015 with eight years' prior experience as an employment, pension and incentive specialist.
