Nils advises clients in the IT, media and technology sectors on information technology law, e-commerce, copyright and data protection matters.
Nils is an associate in our Tech & Comms and Commercial Groups, based in Düsseldorf.
He advises both providers and customers on the preparation and negotiation of complex IT agreements; regulatory issues in the mobile/e-commerce, software and digital media sectors; and data protection matters. Thanks to his doctoral thesis, he has extensive knowledge in the area of mobile apps and advises on all questions related to the App Economy.
His work also includes advising on commercial and IT transactions, projects and outsourcing matters as well as on copyright law including copyright levies. He places particular emphasis on future issues like the Internet of Things and Blockchain.
Nils studied law at the University of Muenster (Germany), where he focused on Information, Telecommunications and Media Law. During his legal traineeship with the Higher Regional Court Hamm, Nils worked for law firms specialised in IT law, including a firm in Los Angeles. His doctoral thesis, written with the Institute for Information-, Telecommunication- and Media Law, addressed issues from the area of law and economics in connection with the App Economy. He joined us in July 2013.
