Mogens has extensive experience in advising clients on international legal matters, including IP.
Mogens is a senior associate in our Danish IP practice group.
Mogens has extensive IP experience and focuses primarily on international matters within the IP/IT field. His focus areas include copyright, marketing, consumer, media and entertainment as well as IT and telecommunications law.
He regularly assists clients with transactions (drafting and negotiation of contracts) in the media industry, including TV distribution, licensing, transmission and production agreements, representing broadcasters, distributors as well as production companies. Mogens also represents clients, particularly in the consumer electronics industry, in consumer litigation matters, as well as in their dealings with the Danish consumer authorities.
Having earned an LL.M. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and being admitted to the State Bar of California, he practised law in the US for several years. During this time, Mogens specialised in advising small, mid-size and major companies on US-Danish law issues. A significant part of this work involved assisting Danish clients (often technology based companies) with US interests in connection with setting up a US corporate structure, giving due consideration to the commercial and tax aspects, as well as the need for an adequate shielding of liability. He frequently assisted clients with the drafting and negotiation of a wide range of corporate and commercial contracts, as well as with dispute resolution, including instructing and overseeing litigation counsel retained on the client’s behalf.
Mogens is admitted to the high courts in Denmark.
Mogens speaks Danish, English, German and understands the Scandinavian languages.
