Merav is a partner in our International Privacy & Data Protection Group, based in Paris.
She has more than ten years' experience of practicing communications and IT law, with a particular focus on data privacy across the Financial Services; Life Sciences; Healthcare; Media; Sport; and Tech & Comms sectors.
Merav’s primary practice areas include personal data protection and privacy including audit and compliance issues, investigation procedures; litigation before the French Authority (“CNIL”); Big Data legal issues; social media; and cyber security. has close links with the French Regulatory Authority.
She is a Professor of Privacy, Personal Data and Cybersecurityat the Paris II Panthéon-Sorbonne University Master 2 and is an author of several articles and publications, including “Le guide de la communication sans risque” (Eyrolles 2012); "Personal Data, Privacy and Cybersecurity" (The Law Review 2014 and 2015); and "Cybersecurity" (Getting the deal through 2015 and 2016).
A regular speaker at conferences on big data, social media and IT issues such asMicrosoft Techdays, Echos conferences, International Hub Forum, MEDEF, CCI, Avignon Forum, WeWork Tel Aviv Merav is also often asked to provide her opinion on upcoming bills and amendments.
Merav has passed both the Paris and Jerusalem Bars.
She is fluent in French, English and Hebrew.
