As an associate in our Commercial and Privacy & Data Protection Groups, I advise both German and international clients on a wide range of data protection and tech-related issues, always aiming for pragmatic, client-oriented solutions.

Based in our Düsseldorf office, I advise clients of various sectors on data protection and IT law matters, including ecommerce, social media, apps, direct marketing and new business models such as IoT, cloud computing, AI and machine learning. I have been involved in a large number of international GDPR compliance projects, coordinated various international data transfer and compliance projects and drafted (as well as advised on) numerous DP agreements, documents and policies. I have also provided detailed advice on a variety of subjects, including security breaches, HR data/employee monitoring, DPIAs, data subject rights, intra-group transfers, marketing schemes (including profiling and targeting), cookies and analytics, geolocation, DP-related product compliance, and whistleblowing schemes.

During my work on data protection and technology-driven projects as well as on day-to-day matters, clients appreciate that I deliver clear, pragmatic and goal-driven answers tailored to their specific needs with fast turnarounds.

Prior to joining our firm, I worked as a judge at a regional court (civil proceedings).
