Megan is a member of our Competition group, with particular expertise in consumer protection law.
Megan is a senior associate in our Competition group based in Sydney.
She has a broad range of experience in competition and consumer law matters, with an emphasis on advising on all facets of advertising and promotional campaigns and competition and consumer law disputes. She has been involved in a number of high profile cases in the Federal Court and Supreme Court involving breaches of the Competition and Consumer Act, including a leading High Court case on misleading and deceptive conduct. Her recent expertise includes acting on a high-profile cartel conduct matter involving well-known global brands, as well as a matter involving the Australian Consumer Law provisions regarding statutory guarantees.
In addition to her expertise in competition and consumer law matters, Megan has previously worked in the in-house legal team of Australia's national broadcaster and regularly advised on laws affecting the media.
She has undertaken a secondment with a key client of the firm on matters including distribution agreements, promotional material, sponsorships and other commercial agreements.
She is a past secretary of the NSW Young Lawyers Communications, Entertainment and Technology Committee.
