Mascha is a senior counsel in our Frankfurt office and is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. She advises clients in the field of non-technical industrial property rights, in particular in German, European and international trademark, copyright law, registered design and competition law.
She has extensive experience in advising large international brands. For example, she spent 9 years managing Deutsche Telekom AG's global portfolio - initially with Wessing (now Taylor Wessing), later with Mayer Brown LLP. Since 2011, she has been responsible, among other things, for the international portfolio of Peek & Cloppenburg KG. The scope of her consultancy includes the development and implementation of global brand strategies for brand and registered design, the judicial and out-of-court defence of trademarks, designs and domains against infringement and dilution, as well as the negotiation and creation of transfer agreements, delimitation and licensing agreements. She represents clients before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent Court, the German Civil Courts, the European Trademark Office (EUIPO) and the European Court of Justice (ECJ).
She is an active member of the Anti Counterfeiting Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Furthermore she is an active member of the “Law Committee” and the "Publication Committee" of the European Community Trademark Association (ECTA) and member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright GRUR).
Mascha is a lecturer at the EBS European Business School Oestrich Winkel / Markenakademie, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt am Main. For more than 10 years, she has regularly held seminars for the Deutsche Markenverband e.V.
