Markus specialises in intellectual property law with a particular focus on copyright, media and entertainment law.
Markus is an associate in our Intellectual Property practice, based in Sweden.
He is a member of the Media, Entertainment & Sport sector group and provides legal services to national and international clients on a broad range of IP matters including commercial, strategic and regulatory issues in relation to media and entertainment. He also gives advice in relation to acquisitions of music/entertainment companies.
Markus graduated from the University of Uppsala (LLM) in 2016 and spent one semester at the University of Sheffield during his studies. Prior to joining us, he was an intern at another Swedish law firm and a thesis trainee at the Swedish Performing Rights Society (Stim). Alongside his studies, he worked with strategic communication and PR at Prime Public Relations in Stockholm for two years.
Markus is a member in the Swedish Copyright Association (SFU); the Swedish Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (SFIR); and The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
He speaks Swedish and English.
